Bidasoa Broadside
An 8x10 inch silver gelatin print made in an edition of 90 (Printed by Raymond Meeks, May, 2024.)
The print is hinged with archival document tape to a cover consisting of a digital laser print (toner) fused to transparency film. The transparency is mounted to paper and includes a writing by George Weld, which was included in our collaborative book, The Inhabitants (MACK, 2023)
If there are ghosts, they are woven into the soil like mycelia, like water channeling though the strata, they hold the place together and might yet pull it apart. How dull to imagine they would take human form, that a spirit freed from the body would yet hold the body’s shape.
Their boundaries dissolve, they intertwine, a perfect stranger to you in life is wound together with you after. George Weld, The Inhabitants. 2023
25% of proceeds from sales of the edition will be donated to Care4Calais, a volunteer-run refugee charity working with refugees in the UK, France and Belgium.
